Just got an email from the company I really want to work this summer reminding all applicants to finalize their application by Friday. Its like, I just want to if I got a damn interview...
And shockingly, the fact that I’d get paid close to $20,000 for 10 weeks is only a minor factor in wanting it...

$20,000 for 10 weeks? I only know of one summer job that pays that well. If it is that job, expect 80 hour weeks.

Over $30 an hour + overtime. Expect 50+ hour weeks. Not a bad (potential) gig.

Working at a large consulting firm, high stress, long hours = good pay plus overtime.

I’m not even sure if I can do an internship this summer. I have 3 weeks of training in Michigan the end of May. That shouldn’t be a problem. But if rotc wants to send me to any additional stuff that will probably make pulling off an internship impossible. And I couldn’t do one this last summer because no company wanted someone going into just their junior year.

McKinsey, Bain, or BCG? Deloitte (aka Toilet & Douche) or Accenture (aka Accidenture) are also possibilities but when I was back in that market I don’t remember them paying that well.
Edit: Original thought was summer analyst at a Bulge Bracket Bank but saw your other response.

I didnt know you were ROTC. My cousin did his training in Saginaw, is that where you are doing yours?

I’d be an SAP consultant with the 4th one you mentioned up there.
The big difference is there are one of the only ones left that still pay hourly vs making their interns salary to get around it. http://managementconsulted.com/consulting-sal… . Glassdoor is showing similar numbers.

I used to work for one of the firms on that list but not in the MC practice. I have friends who still work or have worked for over half those firms.
I LMAO at the Parthenon salary number. I met a few of their undergraduate hires and i thought 2 of the 3 were dumber than rocks. I certainly would not pay them that much. That should be a clue about who I used to work for.

Good luck man! I wish I was getting paid that much!

No, this is in Augusta. But it’s something different for my actual unit not through my school’s rotc program.

Working with SAP is an awesome gig.
Not only for the summer, but its a valuable experience in regards to future job prospects. A shit ton of companies use it.
